Statement of purpose

We help people exercise their data rights.

The rights already exist. We help make them usable.

Personal data is a record of a life: where we have been, what we have done, and how the institutions around us have understood us.

Much of that record is held elsewhere—across companies, platforms, and systems. People have rights to access it and, depending on the circumstances, to correct it, move it, limit its use, or ask that it be deleted.

Too Much Gelato helps people exercise those rights. We support the request, the process, and the path from asking to receiving.

The rights we support

Access See what is held
Portability Receive a usable copy
Correction Fix what is inaccurate
Deletion Ask that information be removed
Choice Limit certain uses
Agency Receive help exercising these rights

The rights available depend on the person, the organization, and the law that applies.

CCPA / CPRA · GDPR · UK GDPR · Law 25 · CDPA · CPA · CTDPA · TDPSA · LGPD · and others, as they come into force

A right is only meaningful when it can be used.

That is why we are here
